Architecture: New Games room, Gym, Garage complex with natural pool
Built within the curtilage of a Grade II Listed Building, the existing structure was in dire need of repairs. The proposed scheme included an extension to accommodate a Garage, Gym and Games Room. We utilised the drop in levels to differentiate the two volumes of the proposal. The Garage is situated close to the house, while the Gym overlooks the picturesque landscape.
Making the best of the proximity to the natural pool, the Games Room is lowered to benefit from panoramic views towards the garden and the countryside. Traditional materials were used to reflect and complement the architectural language of the main house. Brick, plain clay tiles and oak help the building blend in with the site’s topography and surroundings.
