Architecture: Coach house conversion and restoration into a family home
This beautiful old coach house in the grounds of grade 2* listed manor house required our team’s skills to restore, maintain and rebuild to modern building standards. Our client wished to keep as much of the original architecture as possible. The original archways were maintained and the old garage doors removed to make way for new slim line windows. Light and warmth penetrate the heart of living space, transforming the internal habitat.
As part of our brief we were asked to design a bespoke staircase from steel and oak. Glass balustrades allow the light to flood through the core of this historic piece of architecture.
We are a small, friendly team of architects who love to talk to people about building design ideas and solutions. Wherever you are based in London and the south east, and whatever the type of building project you are considering, we would love to hear from you.
