Matthew Kettle

I have always loved building and designing things. An early fascination with lego led naturally to making detailed drawings and plans as a school boy with my father, a Structural Engineer.
I studied Construction, Engineering, and Architecture alongside working within Architectural Practices where I gained skills and insight into contemporary working practice.
This experience, growing up with an understanding of the construction process, and the desire to have a hands on approach to design, build and architecture motivated me to start my own Practice.
Vlad Craciun
Associate – MArch, ACIAT
With over 10 years’ experience at the drawing board and on site, Vlad has been with gyd architects since 2016 and worked on various residential and commercial projects ranging from new builds, conversions, refurbishments and extensions across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London and in Europe.
He’s got a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a particular interest in BIM (Building Information Modeling), with extensive knowledge of various design software packages, including 3D printing and laser cutting.
Alex Mayes
Assistant – BA Hons
Having completed my Architecture degree with the University of Kent, graduating in 2023, I am excited to develop and grow alongside the team at gyd architects.
I am a self-motivated and dedicated individual both in my professional and personal life. I have a great passion for architecture and the possibilities that it holds for my future and am extremely fortunate to have this opportunity at gyd architects.
