Matthew Kettle

I have always loved building and designing things. An early fascination with lego led naturally to making detailed drawings and plans as a school boy with my father, a Structural Engineer. I studied Construction, Engineering, and Architecture alongside working within Architectural Practices where I gained skills and insight into contemporary working practice. This experience, growing up with an understanding of the construction process, and the desire to have a hands on approach to design, build and architecture motivated me to start my own Practice.

My fascination for Modular Building, first encountered with lego, perfectly suited my clients’ need for simple and elegant single contact building solutions. As co-founder of Ecospace Studios in 2002, I focused this enthusiasm on developing beautifully designed modular buildings and prefabricated structures. Produced using modern construction methods with fixed construction costs, these affordable architectural spaces combine the highest Quality control and management under one roof.
