Conversion of disused farm buildings
Transforming disused rural outbuildings into homes offers a sustainable way to preserve the character of the countryside while giving redundant structures a new purpose.
Our recently completed design proposes the sensitive conversion of a cluster of agricultural outbuildings into a set of three contemporary dwellings, carefully retaining the existing form, materials, and agricultural rhythm of the buildings.
The scheme balances conservation with modern living: original materials and structural openings are preserved where possible, while new elements introduce light, warmth, and spatial flexibility. By working with the existing fabric rather than replacing it, the project celebrates the heritage of the site while creating comfortable, efficient homes suited to modern rural life.
