Location: Surrey
Architecture: Alterations and extension
Renovation in a greenbelt requires design sensitivity and craftsmanship to balance contemporary elements of comfort with existing architecture. Located in the Surrey greenbelt, this untouched family home presented our client with an opportunity to make improvements that suited them best. In the planning stage, every traditional external detail was matched like for like, with alteration and extension work merging seamlessly into the original home.
The detailed gable over the 3 bay integral garage was designed and crafted to balance the existing gable. Mirroring the oak and brickwork of the original in the extension ensures a seamless transition and helps make this home a delightful integration of traditional comfort and contemporary utility.
Complete modernisation of this Surrey home’s interior included a generous kitchen extension and wine cellar. The attic space was refurbished to create space for the growing family. Throughout the house, finishes were stripped bare and refurbished in the Edwardian style, blending contemporary comfort with traditional elegance.
