Job Title: Architectural Technician
Are you a talented architectural technician seeking an exciting challenge? Do you possess strong technical skills and have a passion for architecture?
gyd architects is looking for someone to work with our innovative, friendly team on a varied range of projects – including residential extensions, garden buildings, listed properties, new homes and commercial properties. We work throughout London, Kent and the south east.
As part of a small team, the successful applicant will enjoy the opportunity of working on many aspects of gyd architects’ diverse and interesting projects.
Job overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the creation of architectural designs and technical drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and designers to develop architectural plans and drawings
- Utilise Adobe Suite software to create visual representations of designs and MS office
- Be proficient in Auto CAD and Sketchup software for drafting and detailing architectural plans
- Assist in the development of building models and renderings
- Create detailed schematics for construction projects
- Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations
Experience:
- HND or foundation degree in architectural technology, or related field
- Proven experience working as an architectural technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of building techniques and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
