Location: Canterbury, Kent
Architect: Matthew Kettle
Architecture: Modern single-storey extension
This project in Canterbury blends modern design with traditional materials to create a striking new shared space which harmoniously blends the internal and external spaces.
The extension is distinguished by its sleek black cladding, which integrates the window frames into a cohesive design. This bold choice not only creates a unified aesthetic but also adds a sophisticated edge to the building’s appearance. Complementing the modern design, the project incorporates a soldier course of bespoke Roman bricks above the windows as an architectural statement, perfectly suited to its Canterbury setting.
